The SHIRESTONE
™ Process
Shirestone™ Custom Countertops are handcrafted using a
proprietary formula and process designed to create a unique
and durable solid surface for both new construction as well
as remodeling projects.
The tops are poured on site providing a seamless surface
and custom fit; then stained using a variety of colors and
visual effects. A superior high strength coating is used to
seal the tops, leaving a virtually maintenance free finish.
This precise and intricate process ensures that each element
compliments its particular environment, creating a "one
of a kind" showpiece for both residential and commercial
settings.

SHIRESTONE™ Surface Care and Maintenance
Routine Care:
Shirestone™ requires very little maintenance. Simply
wipe your Shirestone™ surface with soap and warm water
to maintain its beauty and shine for years to come. Avoid
any abrasive cleaners.
Difficult Spills:
To remove difficult spills, wipe the surface with warm water
and soap. If needed, use a non-abrasive liquid cleaner. For
stains that harden as they dry, such as gum, remove by soaking
thoroughly and lightly scraping off of surface using a PLASTIC
putty knife or like tool.
Extreme Heat Protection:
Shirestone™ is extremely resistant to heat and can withstand
moderately high temperatures for brief periods of time without
being damaged. Although Shirestone™ is more heat resistant
than other countertop surfaces; any surface can be damaged
by sudden and extreme temperature changes.
Chemicals to Avoid:
Avoid exposing your Shirestone™ surface to strong chemicals
and solvents. Items to avoid include tape, nail polish remover,
permanent markers or inks, caustic glues like airplane or
Crazy® glue, oil soaps, paint strippers that contain triclorethane
or methylene chloride. Also avoid using high alkaline/ PH
products like oven cleaners.
General Precautions:
Although highly scratch resistant, we strongly recommend using
a cutting board in order to avoid damage to your knives and
to deter the prospect of any unnecessary bacterial contamination
due to a damaged surface. Safety is our prime concern.
